Kaleid Foundations

Are you in a season of re-orientation? Do you want to journey with other women to see yourself, others, and your community through new lenses?

To see and create beauty when life shifts, we need new understanding, new experiences, new tools, and a community. If you are a woman experiencing (or wanting to experience) shifts in your life, we are excited to invite you on this journey with a community of women who are committed to growth in...

CLARITY about our unique designs - purpose, passions, assets
CONNECTION to a safe community of other women
COMPASSION for ourselves and for the world
COURAGE to engage troubling issues in our own hearts and in the world
CONFIDENCE to pursue unique, transformative impact in the world

The Kaleid Foundations Cohort experience guides you to wholehearted engagement with life’s frequently shifting journey. You will come to know and love God, yourself, others, and your city with even more of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

It is...
Different than a Bible study but guided by scripture.
Different than a service opportunity but guided by God’s mission.
Different than an accountability group but guided by community.
Different than a prayer group but guided by intimacy with God.

We will laugh together, explore hard things together, embrace the freedom of Christ together, talk about what loving people looks like in “real life” together, dream dreams together, and find encouragement with one another. We can’t wait for you to join us! Read on for some FAQs and more details.

FAQs:

What kinds of things will we learn? We will spend time connecting some God-topics (like the Psalms, the Trinity, the Kingdom of God, the Image of God, Israel’s story and our story, sin and salvation, and more!) to life topics like how we love ourselves, others, and our community. We will learn about loving ourselves through the StrengthsFinder. We will learn about loving others through stories of faithful people. We will learn about loving our city through walking the streets and hearing from experts.

What else will we do? We will eat (quite a bit) when we’re together. We will learn and do some different contemplative prayer practices. We will surely laugh and probably cry. We will (hopefully) connect our story with some of the stories God is telling in our community and our city in new ways. We will lean into love and seek to let go of fear.

Is there homework? Yes. It’s good homework, though! You can plan on taking 2-3 hours between meetings for a variety of homework (journaling, podcast listening, prayer practices, etc.) If you’d like to spend more time than that, you’ll be introduced to a variety of resources where you might want to go further.

Why are there Saturday times and why are they long? To introduce each Kaleid lens, we will meet together on a Saturday to do a deep dive into that lens by way of field trips and community building exercises. Each Foundations cohort is a special community of women, and when we spend time with each other doing things and eating and exploring, we grow. Think of the Saturdays as three mini-retreats. (You could even go big and tell your people you’re getting a hotel that night—do Kaleid, then go get dinner and chill. Up to you, but the options for stretching your “getting out of the house” time are endless, and you can blame it on us!)

What if I’m feeling nervous to be vulnerable or to engage hard topics? We get it. We believe that there can be safe spaces for hard things, and we aim to be one of those spaces. Trust is a high value at Kaleid, and we would like to build it with you.

What if I hate zoom but still want to do this? Well, that’s up to you. But just know we’re going to do our best to keep it zippy, real, interactive, and engaging. Also know you can bring your stuffed animals, your beverage of choice, and your just-washed face to the party (things not available to you if you had to drriiivveee across Atlanta nine times!)

What if I have done Foundations before and want to do it again? Come on, girl! We’d love to have you!

What if I know already that I can’t be at all the meetings? The Foundations Circle is wonderful because you are there, and you are wonderful. We are better together! Please check your calendar and plan on being able to attend most of the meetings. If you have a question about this, feel free to email info@thekaleidproject.com.

What if I have a question that is not (apparently) frequently asked? Great! We love all the questions. Email us at info@thekaleidproject.com and we’ll do our best to answer it!
